Interviews and Appearance

Hey guys,
I got a couple questions concerning interviews and appearance that I wanted to answer.

Hey, I'm curious about tilted kilts appearance requirements ...(weight,height,size) I want to know what I'm walking into before I apply.

-There are no official weight, height, or size requirements at Tilted Kilt. However, you do need to fit into the uniform. Unlike some other restaurants based on sex appeal, our uniforms don't just come in the smaller sizes. As look as you are proportional and healthy looking you should be fine. I've seen girls as tall as almost 6ft. and pretty thick look good in the uniform. It's all about how you carry yourself. It's certainly not required to be super skinny to be hired, but you do need to remember this is a restaurant based on appeal. Most of the girls that work there work out on a regular basis, and eat pretty healthy. My TK got discounts for us at a local gym, tanning place, and nail salon. It's important to maintain appearance to keep your job at Tilted Kilt, especially since you are hired as an entertainer and not a server (ie-you sign a contract saying your appearance won't change drastically).

What did you answer/write about for the "What would you do if a customer grabbed your backside?" and "What would you do if you saw a coworker giving a table free drinks?" questions & why? Even if you can't post on your blog I'd appreciate you answering just in the email & thanks for taking the time out to read this regardless of whether you have time to answer or not!

-The questions regarding a customer grabbing your backside are pretty easy to answer. If I remember correctly, that part is multiple choice. Or if they did make it an essay question, just answer something along the lines of "remain calm and notify a manager". You never want to try to deal with the situation yourself, and it's extremely important for safety reasons for the whole restaurant that you let the manager know. Most situations like that end with the manager dealing with the customer personally. They are usually asked to leave, or at the very least, the manager serves them for the rest of the meal and they are told their behavior is unacceptable and not to come back if they are going to continue with inappropriate actions.

-The other interview question regarding someone giving a table free drinks is also an easy one. Let a manager know. Don't ever personally get involved in a situation that might leave you in a precarious relationship with your coworkers. It's hard enough to work with 20 girls without accusations being thrown around. If you see someone doing something wrong, let a manager know, and they will handle it.

The interview questions are mostly ethics based and to see how you will handle possible situations that may arise on the job. TK doesn't want to hire someone that might not be able to handle the occasional stressful moment in addition to the stress a typical serving job has. It's important to remember, if you don't think you can handle the extra stress, don't take the job. Tips are great but it's not worth your peace of mind. Good luck on interviews ladies!

    1. All depends on how good your service is to customers , you want to have repeated customers. Average 50-200$ day. Depends on what day of week.

  4. So what is someone saying here? That waitresses wearing kilts are adult entertainers like strippers but aren't waitresses? Huh? Doesn't make sense. Is it important in the job description to show ones cleavage shamelessly to fill in the brassiere? Yes. If everyone didn't love the devils lies even about bosom and cleavage compliments so much then even complimenting a waitresses cleavage and bust should have been as normal as complimenting her face and eyes.
