Alright, so this is my first blog post as a Tilted Kilt Girl. I walked in to my local TK today, nervous and scared, and filled out an application. The girls were friendly and after I finished filling out my application, I asked to speak to a manager.
He told me a little about Tilted Kilt, then asked if I had about 30-40 minutes to do a full interview. I got to try on the uniform, which was a process in itself (Dear Lord why did you invent food???) and the skirt didn't fit! It was too small... Thankfully a girl came in the dressing room while I was trying everything on though and let me try on her skirt, which was kinda too big, but it worked! I was superly duperly excited!
If you dont know what the uniform looks like, well...it looks like this:
The manager didn't make any terrible faces at the way I looked in the uniform so that's definately a plus! Haha. After that, I had to practically write an essay, answering two "personality" questions (I guess to make sure I wasn't psycho, or weird?) and then answered a little questionnaire thingy. The questions were like "What would you do if a customer grabbed your backside?" and "What would you do if you saw a coworker giving a table free drinks?".
Anyhoozle, lots more talking and then he offered me the job! Yay! I go back on Monday to fill out tax stuffs and I think it will be my first training day? Not sure... But I have to bring knee high white socks, two forms of ID, and a deposit for the uniform (ugh moneyyyyyyyyyy).
So basically this blog will just be about my experience as a TK Girl. I've been looking for blogs about working at Tilted Kilt and I can't find any! I guess I'll just have to make this one work!
Ahh, you're so lucky... there is a casting call Thursday over here in Atlanta. Hopefully you get the comment. Did he ask you what skirt size you were or did he just hand you one and expect you to fit it? Im sooo scared that my hips will be too wide. Does the skirt zip or button or what? XD im so nervous. Please help!

ReplyDeleteHi- I know this blog is from forever ago so I don't know if you'll even see this comment, but how did you answer the "what would you do if somebody grabbed your ass?" question? Do they want you to play along and flirt, or respond professionally by shutting stuff like that down?
ReplyDeleteI recently got a job at the tilted kilt. They asked me the same question. I answered it by saying " I would politely tell the customer, that ut is not okay to put your hands on the workers, then tell a manager. She said I answered it perfectly
DeleteSounds like an interesting place to eat. I would like to see a menu to know what is on the menu to plan for when my party & I show up; instead of being caught off guard.I hope the food is as GOOD as the female outfits. ;-)
